DSSL (a sub-division of
AST) had engaged the services of another software development company in 2007 to develop a certificate printing software application. Their initial interest in Propona’s services was two-pronged: providing both system testing of the existing product and 3rd line support.
The system testing revealed deficiencies of the product including the inability of the application to scale - it was simply not designed to handle the number of certificate records that the end customers required. Propona therefore redesigned the application from the ground up to ensure these scalability requirements were met, as well as building in additional functionality to the application and substantially improving the end user experience.
